· Production Solstice is almost identical to concept first seen at 2002 Detroit show; goes on sale in 2005, probably in the spring, as a 2006 model.
· Two-seat roadster based on GM's new Kappa rear-wheel-drive platform, likely to spawn additional models for U.S. and other markets.
· Reverse-hinged clamshell hood hides a standard 170-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder DOHC engine.
· Hydroformed frame rails, stamped steel structural tunnel, four-wheel independent suspension, eighteen-inch wheels.
