Geneva 2004 - Bentley Arnage and Arnage Mulliner Limosine

2005 Bentley Arnage Front Right View

Bentley gives the aging Arnage a thorough going-over for the 2005 model year, endowing it with four round headlamps that neatly evoke the oh-so-hot Continental GT coupe. There are revised bumpers and a new hood ("to provide a greater sense of occasion," notes the press material). Inside, the cabin features new switchgear, fresh surface treatments, and a DVD-based navigation system. The twin-turbo 6.75-liter V-8 holds firm, still producing 400 horsepower and a whopping 616 pound-feet of torque. Cars at this level are all about personalization, so the Arnage buyer now will find him- or herself bombarded with an array of choices more dizzying than ever, including forty paint colors (plus two-tone options, of course), twenty-seven leather hues, and even two types of grille: vaned or wire mesh. The price: $216,270 for the "base" Arnage R (shown here), and $229,787 for the top-spec Arnage T. The gargantuan Arnage Limousine by Mulliner (black and red, below) won't make it to America, to the inevitable dismay of music-video directors coast to coast.
