2005 Volkswagen Touareg W-12 Sport

Volkswagen has added a second twelve-cylinder product, by dropping the W-12 engine into the Touareg, to create a new, range-topping Touareg W-12 Sport. Unlike the W-12 Phaeton, the twelve-pot Touareg plays up its performance (450 hp, 600 lb-ft), with a showy body kit, 20x9-inch wheels shod with 40-series Pirelli Pzeros, steering wheel shift paddles for its six-speed Tiptronic, leather and Alcantara sport seats, and aluminum interior trim. A rear diff lock, four-zone automatic A/C, heated front and rear seats, and a nav system are also standard. Add the one option, a trailer hitch, and the price crests six figures (in Euros, which is six larger figures in dollars). We won't have the chance to throw down that kind of cash for a Touareg in the United States however, as VW of America has opted not to import the W12 Sport. It might, however, gather up the sporty stuff as an option package for our V-8 Touareg.
