2005 America's British Reliability Run

Last year the British Reliability Run raised $33,000 for kids with diabetes. Now they're at it again! On Saturday, October 1st, up to 50 vintage British cars will depart Marshall, MI for a demanding, two-day, 700-mile run through Michigan, Ohio, and the covered bridges region of Indiana to raise money for the National Children's Cancer Society. Automobile Magazine columnist Jamie Kitman has generously wagered seven of his own classic British sports cars for the road rally, and he had no problem recruiting editors to help him out as drivers and co-drivers.

Our motley crew:
1959 Morris Minor 1/4 ton pick up
1962 MGA 1600 Mk II roadster
1967 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII
1967 Triumph TR4A roadster/surrey top
1969 Lotus Elan S4 roadster
1969 Ford Lotus Cortina Mk II
1979 Triumph Dolomite Sprint

Your donation, in any amount, will help us beat last year's total! "America's British Reliability Run" is based loosely on several events held yearly in Britain with the same goal: to help a worthy children's charity and have fun while doing so.

If you donate $25 we'll send you an Automobile Magazine streamliner toy car, and if you donate $50, we'll send you a t-shirt in your choice of size (Youth L to Adult XL) and color (gray or black). Just make a note on your donation that you're sponsoring "Team Automobile Magazine."

You can make an instant donation with a credit card at https://securemg.ipl.co.uk/lbcarco/mibrr.html, or make a check payable to NCCS and mail it to ABRR, 1363 East Fisher Freeway, Suite 8, Detroit, MI 48207. Please note "Team Automobile Magazine" so you get your free gift. For more info, call 313-259-4460 or visit the event web site at www.abrr.org. Thank you for your support!

Special thanks to FedEx Custom Critical Passport Auto Transport for getting our cars to the starting line. Heaven knows they wouldn't make it there under their own power!
