Frankfurt Preview: Volkswagen Golf V
In styling, packaging, and technology, the fifth generation of Wolfsburg's worldwide bestseller takes a huge evolotionary leap. Longer, wider, taller and a significant 80 percent stiffer than the current car, the new Golf borrows visual cues from VW's flagship Phaeton and features a fully independent rear suspension. Slated to reach European showrooms late this year, the Golf V receives its formal introduction at this September's Frankfurt Motor Show. We'll be there, so stay tuned for updates.
