James Bond's Aston Martin DBS Officially Revealed

2006 Aston Martin Dbs James Bond Front 1

Mr. Bond is back in the driver's seat of an Aston Martin for the second movie in a row. Taking a place next to the Die Another Day Vanquish in the MI6 garage is the DBS shown here. What looks to be a gussied-up DB9 is described as "a link between our elegant DB9 road car and the powerful DB9R race car," according to Design Director Marek Reichman. Aston's CEO, Ulrich Bez, adds, "The DBS is not of the understated elegance of a DB9, nor the youthful agility of the V8 Vantage. It is explosive power in a black tie and has its own unique character which will equal that of James Bond." Our translation? The DBS sports big, shiny wheels and added horsepower to make the car as fast and flashy as possible for the big screen. We're excited to see how both the Aston and new Bond actor Daniel Craig perform when Casino Royale opens in November, 2006.
