Saturn has been busy filling their lots with new cars lately. Last year, they released three brand-new models: the Sky, Aura, and Outlook. For 2008, those cars are joined by the Vue and the Astra, which are also both all new. This makes the Saturn lineup the freshest fleet around.

The Vue will be available in a wide range of configuration, which includes the high-performance V-6 Red Line and the hybrid Green Line models. All engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The new Vue is equipped with the usual arsenal of safety equipment - a bunch of airbags and stability control are standard. Last year's Vue was priced between $18,000 and $24,000 depending on trim level, and this year's prices should be comparable.

Joining the Vue from across the pond is the Astra. The subcompact Astra is available in three-door and five-door models, both of which use a 1.8-liter engine that is good for 140 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque. Power gets to the front wheels through either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. The Astra has done very well in Europe as an Opel, and Saturn is hoping that the success can be duplicated here.

The Sky, Aura, and Outlook only have minor changes for the new year.
