This car is the successor to the Hyundai Tiburon, but the coupe has not officially been given a name. It is codenamed "BK" and known as the Hyundai Mustang to insiders. Enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that unlike previous Tiburons, the new car has rear-wheel drive.
Buyers will have a choice between two engines -- a direct-injected, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the V-6 from the upcoming Genesis sedan.
The next generation Tiburon will go on sale in late 2008 or 2009 in Asia with a US release in time for the 2010 model year. We expect a convertible version to bow soon afterwards.
