2006 Volkswagen Passat Wagon

Known in Germany as the Variant, this sleek station wagon version of the recently introduced Passat sedan went on sale in the United States in February of 2006. Like the sedan, it is available with both a 200-hp, turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engine mated to a choice of six-speed automatic or manual transmissions, or a new 280-hp 3.6-liter V-6 that's available only with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available with the V-6.
