What you see is what you get - and when it comes to the release issued today on the 2010 Kia Soul, truer words have never been spoken. All we were given on the upcoming Scion xB-fighter was this image and a few paragraphs of forgettable prose.

From the photo, we can see that the Soul has kept its nomenclature, first used on the concept car shown at the 2006 Detroit auto show. It's also managed to keep many of the styling cues from that car, as well as three later concepts shown at the 2008 Geneva motor show. That's a good thing; Soul seems to pull off the boxy tall-wagon motif better than the xB currently does.

That's about all Kia gave us so far, unless you count the seven paragraphs of cryptic PR-drivel that talks itself in circles (The Soul has soul in Seoul, you say?). We expect more concrete - and relevant - information closer to the car's official launch at the Paris motor show in September. Stay tuned to Automobile Magazine online for the latest details.
