2009 Subaru Forester

I completely agree with Marc, but I'd like to add a few points on why the new Forester disappoints me:

-Because of its superhigh beltline and cowl, I almost feel like I'm sitting in (not ON) a five-gallon bucket ... or perhaps in a Plymouth Prowler.

-The new model is a lot bigger than the outgoing Forester, and it totally looks it. The funky/cute /tough appearance of its predecessor is gone, but I'm not sure I like the new look.

-Like the old model, this thing is pretty noisy over bumps. I drove it on some potholed gravel roads, and, although it handled and rode pretty well, this young Forester already revealed some rattles.
